The term biome is used to describe a region in which the  environment, plants and animal life are suited for one another.

There are four different biomes: forests, grasslands, deserts, and tundra.

 

CLIMATE

TUNDRA

Cool or cold temperatures all the time

Grasses, mosses, lichens

FOREST

All climate regions, except the ice cap

Broadleaf evergreens, deciduous trees, coniferous trees, small evergreens

DESERTS

Very little water

Cactuses, other plants adapted to little water

GRASSLANDS

tropical, temperate

Savanna grasses, prairie grasses, wildflowers
