The Principal's Training Center and The Teacher's Trainning Center -- Offers 5-day institutes in Miami and London.

Discovery Education -- offers different options

Think Quest --provides free professional development workshops to help teachers learn to exploit the Web, integrate the ThinkQuest Library of Entries into their classes, and be effective coaches for the contest.   Advanced Network & Services, Inc. created and operates ThinkQuest.

TeachNet--an interactive website for K-12 teachers; features an online newsletter, a webforum to ask questions and join in discussions, and a lesson ideas section. 

VoyagerU --  Content Integration course helps teachers develop techniques for using their daily reading block to boost science and social studies knowledge.

Curriki -- the online education community of open-source instructional materials for K-12

Annenberg Media -- Offers free teacher professional development, resources, and activities.

ASCD's free Online Resources and inexpensive PD Online Courses are useful resources on many topics for professional development, including Phonics/Whole Language, Differentiating Instruction, and Software/Website Evaluation.

TIES (Connecting Education and Technology) in includes a wide range of Internet resources to visit during professional development sessions.

Ten Stages for Working the Web for Education by Tom March outlines "identifiable milestones to help educators effectively use the Web to engage students in advanced thinking".
